This site has some extremely useful exercises for use with Key Stage 3 and 4 and which can be downloaded in PDF format. Ideal for use in preparing students to design and produce their own newspaper.

Moderator comment - This resource gives an outline of a lesson involving writing a newspaper report based on a poem. If the aim of the lesson is mastering report writing, then any text will suffice as a starting point. If the focus is on the poem, then you will need to be clear about how the report writing will illuminate the poem, and the exact objective of writing the report.
